Normal jobs are mostly used for urgent service requests (same day, in less than 1 hr, in less than 30 minutes etc.) but you can also create normal jobs when you don't need bids before you select a service provider. For normal jobs, the service provider may or may not contact you before accepting the job. Once the job is assigned (that is, a service provider accepts it), we'll charge you 50% of the job's cost if you cancel. If you need to cancel after a service provider accepts the job, open the specific job and click "Cancel". Instead of canceling, we recommend you chat with the service provider and make alternate arrangements.
If the service provider doesn't contact you before accepting the job or submitting a bid, that means they can perform the job without requiring additional details (we penalize service providers that accept or bid on jobs that they are not qualified for). If you need to cancel after a service provider accepts the job, open the specific job and click "Cancel". Instead of canceling, we recommend you chat with the service provider and make alternate arrangements. If you want to be considered for canceling without charges, please contact our customer support team within our app or send us an email.
Alexa can only be used for jobs that are urgent and/or don’t need bidding. Alexa jobs are based on the pricing range that we have specified on our pricing page. Currently, you can request for services that fall into any of the following categories: personal shopper/helper, plumbing services, handyman services, appliance repair/installation services, moving/hauling services, cleaning services, lawn mowing/landscapping services, general delivery services. Just say "Alexa, launch My Butler" and ask away!
To troubleshoot this issue, say "Alexa, quit" and then say:
"Alexa, launch My Butler" and answer the prompt questions.

You can also use a single statement like “Alexa, ask My Butler to find me a {profession} that can {service} on {date} at {time} for {duration}”. For example, “Alexa, ask my butler to find me a {cleaner} that can {clean my short-term rental property} {today} at {4pm} for {2 hours}”.

Click "login" at the top right corner of the page. Once you are successfully logged in, click on the "+" button at the bottom right corner of the page. You can also request for services via your Alexa device - all you need to do is add and link "MyButler Skill" to your Alexa app.
For "Bid" service requests, you will receive bids from multiple nearby service providers and can select one of the bids based on price, ratings or reviews of the service provider. We provide price recommendations but your service request may cost a lot more if your requirements require more time, raw materials or other resources. Yes, all service providers go through a complete background check before they are allowed to provide services on MyButla.
